I looked around me at the world in which we live,

And there I see the signs I’ve been watching for,

And I know it won’t be long,

The day is almost here,

When Jesus comes to open heaven’s door,

The day is drawing nearer,

That day when Christ shall appear to claim his own,

When all the dead in Christ shall rise,

Every grave burst open wide,

And with our Lord we’ll make that journey home,

Tension fills the air, and hearts are failing every day,

As wars and battles rage the world around,

And the earth is daily shaking,

Famine rears its ugly head,

And any day we’ll hear that trumpet sound,
